Montgomery County Commission · District 2

Commissioner Carmen Moore-Zeigler

Better roads and drainage, a stronger hospital, good jobs close to home, and a county government that answers when you call. That's the work — and here's the record.

Healthy living, made simpler

A bigger park for families

New trails and a multi-use path are under contract — the start of a bigger park for District 2 families.

Defending public education

Every penny stays with our students.

In January 2026, a proposal came before the County Commission to move 10% of the one-cent sales tax that funds Montgomery and Pike Road schools — about $4 million a year — to other county uses. Commissioner Moore-Zeigler voted to table it, and the Commission kept 100% of the penny with our schools.
