Carmen Moore-Zeigler’s appointment to the District 2 seat of the Montgomery County Commission by Governor Kay Ivey represents a significant step in her career, which is marked by a deep commitment to business, entrepreneurship, and community service.

Raised in Montgomery, Alabama, Carmen’s academic journey began at Jefferson Davis High School, followed by her pursuit of a Business Administration degree at Troy University-Montgomery. Her entrepreneurial spirit was kindled early on, influenced by her father, Douglas Moore, who started a haircare line named “Carmen.” This early exposure to business and entrepreneurship laid the foundation for her future endeavors.

In 2006, Carmen and her father founded the Moore-Zeigler Group, a business consulting company dedicated to advising and assisting small minority business owners in the southern regions of the United States, including Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee. Through their efforts, several companies have achieved significant financial success, collectively accruing over 20 million dollars.

Carmen’s dedication to Montgomery extends beyond her professional work. She is actively involved in supporting Montgomery Public Schools and has contributed significantly to the community through various initiatives. Her contributions include organizing “Back-to-School Supply” Drives and providing meals to over 3,000 citizens in different Montgomery communities.

Her commitment to her faith and community is further exemplified by her active membership in the Mount Moab Baptist Church, where she finds inspiration in the scripture Luke 12:48, “To whom much is given, much will be required.” Carmen’s personal life is enriched by her marriage to Mr. Henry Zeigler II and their daughter, Ada Zeigler.
